Bush: Economic situation in the country under the control
USÂ economy faces hard times now, but the American administration completely holds a situation under the control. Such application has been made by the president of the USA Georges Bush.
Bush has addressed to journalists. The president has noted that the USA has not the best times now, but the government undertakes all possible measures to deduce the country from crisis.
Bush has also noted that he supports actions of Federal Reserve System (FRS) on struggle against crisis. Assuring the public that the US government is able to cope with a crisis situation, the President has told, that in long-term prospect national economy will pass through all problems.
After a meeting with Minister of Finance of the USA and economic questions advisers Let’s remind, that US FRS has decreased the rate under primary credits for 0,25 percentage items - up to 3,25 %, having reduced a difference between this rate and the rate of federal funds (a base discount rate) up to 0,25 %. This decision specifies sharp deficiency of liquidity in the American bank system as before the difference between the rate under primary credits and the rate of federal funds stably made 0,5 %.
