Enel expects for further negotiations with E.On
Italian power company Enel SpA expects, that essential progress in negotiations on sale of actives to German E.On will be reached by the end of March, 2008.
Such opinion was expressed with head office of Enel. It has not been confirmed that the price of actives in Spain, Italy and France, Enel which sells together with Spanish Acciona, makes 11,5 billion euro.
In April, 2007, E.On has declared, that it is measured to continue to play the main role in consolidation of European power industry after the conclusion of the agreement with Italian Enel and Spanish Acciona that in case their attempt of purchase of Spanish power company Endesa SA will crown success E.On will receive its actives for the sum in10 billion euro in Spain, Italy, France, Poland and Turkey.
Let’s remind, on April, 11th, 2007, Enel, controllable by the Italian government, and Spanish Acciona have made the official joint offer on purchase of Spanish power company Endesa. Board of directors of Enel has approved joint with Acciona the offer on purchase of Endesa’s shares in price of 40,16 euros per each share. Enel and Acciona already possess 46 % of Endesa’s shares. Endesa estimates its purchase in 42,5 billion euro.
