European companies demand to stop growth of euro
14 March 2008The lobby of the largest European companies has called to carry on the international negotiations, devoted to the stabilization of the currency markets as Eurozone’s national currency not in the best image affects profit of exporters.
The Chapter of European business organization BusinessEurope considers, that it is impossible to suppose passivity. Eurogroup should make the political decision and begin discussion about the international monetary and credit policy. It will allow four main world currencies to find the best balance.
Though the chapter European Central Bank has not made public application, leaders of trade unions and business lobby have told, that he has expressed anxiety concerning strengthening of euro. Despite of it, the dollar has continued decrease concerning the basic world currencies after the message that retails in the USA in February, 2008, have decreased more, than it was expected, that has led to growth of fears concerning the introduction of the American economy into the strip of recession.
Let’s remind, that on March, 13th at the world currency market one euro cost 1,56 dollars that is very close to a historical record of European currency - 1,5624 dollars. Thus, from the beginning of year euro has grown more than on 5 % in relation to dollar.
