In 2007 net profit of E.On has grown on 29 %

Net profit of German power concern E.On has grown on 29 % - up to 7,2 billion euro in comparison with 5,59 billion euros, received year before. Such information has been represented in the financial report of the company, published today.
Sales volume of the company has increased for 7 % and has made 68,73 billion euro against 64,09 billion euro year earlier. Operational profit has made 9,21 billion euro, what is on 10 % more than the same parameter in 2006, fixed at the level of 8,36 billion euro.
German company E.On AG is the Europe private electropower and gas concern.  E.On Ruhrgas AG, which possesses about 6,5 % of Gazprom’s shares, enters into this group. Concern cooperates with Gazprom in the project of gas main Nord Stream. For its realization Gazprom, German E.On and BASF have created the company-operator of construction of gas main Nord Stream AG.
Now Dutch Gasunie has joined them. Laid on a bottom of Baltic Sea gas main Nord Stream will for the first time provide direct deliveries of the Russian natural gas to the Western Europe. The designed capacity of gas main will make 55 billion cube meters.
