Google co-founder: merge of Yahoo threatens Internet development

One of Google Inc. co-founders Sergey Brin has named offer Microsoft Corp. about merge of Yahoo as demoralizing maneuver, which threatens innovative development of the Internet.
He has repeated a position of the company, having declared, that this transaction threatens users and breaks the antimonopoly law.
Sergey Brin has pointed out that Internet developed and develops under the open standards, with set of the companies. And when there are companies, which supervise operational systems, supervise browsers and still receive leading sites, they appear capable to manipulate it in their own manner. Of course, it demoralizes.
Earlier this month Yahoo has officially refused from Microsoft’s offer, having referred that it “essentially underestimates the company”. Microsoft has offered to get Yahoo for 44,6 billion dollars, having paid 31 dollar for each owner’s share.
Microsoft has, in turn, declared that their company is not measured to refuse struggle for purchase Yahoo, insisting that merge is equitable to interests of both parties. Analysts do not exclude, that the size of the offer can be increased up to 35 dollars for each Yahoo’s share.
