Net profit of Canon has increased up to $4,57 billion

In 2007 net profit of Japanese electronics manufacturer Canon Inc. has grown on 7,2 % - up to 488,33 billion yens (4,57 billion dollars) in comparison with 455,33 billion yens (4,26 billion dollars), received year earlier.
As it has become known from company’s financial report, published on Wednesday, for the accounting period Canon’s sales volume has increased on 7,8 % and has made 4,48 billion yens (41,94 billion dollars) against 4,16 billion yens (38,94 billion dollars) in 2006. Operational profit of the company has reached 756,67 billion yens (7,08 billion dollars) and has exceeded similar parameter of 2006 (707,03 billion yens or 6,62 billion dollars), on 7 %.
In IV quarter of 2007 net profit of Canon has grown on 1,8 % up to 127,85 billion yens (1,2 billion dollars) in comparison with 125,56 billion yens (1,18 billion dollars), received for the similar period year earlier.
During accounting quarter sales volume of the company has increased on 3,9 % and has made 1,26 billion yens (11,8 billion dollars) against 1,22 billion yens (11,42 billion dollars) in October-December 2006. On results of IV quarter 2007 operational profit of Canon has reached 193,58 billion yens (1,81 billion dollars) and it has appeared below a similar parameter 2006, fixed at the mark of 195,87 billion yens (1,83 billion dollars), on 1,2 %.
Financial parameters Canon have appeared below analysts’ forecasts.
Corporation Canon Inc., which head office is located in Tokyo, is one of world leaders in the field of digital equipment creation for users of office and the house. Worldwide group Canon unites 198 companies, which cumulative commodity circulation exceeds 29 billion dollars a year. The greatest part of sales is guaranteed by two leading segments of production Canon: printers and computer periphery (34,1 %) and photocopiers (33,2 %).
