US crisis will manage in $143 billion
28 January 2008Banks all over the world will require143 billion dollars of the additional capital for a covering of the losses connected with the American credit crisis. Such conclusion has been made by analysts of British bank Barclays.
As experts have noted, financial ratings of the world insurance companies, that will render double influence on banks in the near future, can be lowered: it will lower their market cost and will raise expenses at work with brave crediting.
According to the European Central Bank experts’ estimations losses from crisis of the hypothec crediting market in subprime category, started in the USA in August 2007, have made 250 billion dollars
Let’s remind, that crisis high-risk mortgages of a category subprime, burst in the end of summer 2007 in the USA, has struck on leading American banks, which have been compelled to write off actives in cost in billions dollars.
All this negatively affects economy of the USA. Several days ago the President of the country Georges Bush has proposed to reduce tax loading to 1 % of gross national product, or 140 billion dollars that practically at once has been regarded by the market as an insufficient measure. It, in turn, has caused “domino effect” practically on all share platforms.
The world financial system still cannot recover from negative consequences of August crisis. Fears of investors are caused with the situation, which has developed in the credit markets and in the real estate market in the USA. Concerning the credit markets economists mark, that nonpayment under mortgages and debts under credits continue to grow, and it not in the best image affects purchasing capacity of Americans, as well as instability of the world financial markets.
