Japanese companies will create the joint venture on LCD displays manufacture

Japanese companies Matsushita Electric Industrial, Hitachi and Canon create joint venture on manufacture of liquid crystal displays. I n the curse of project Hitachi will lower the share in division Hitachi Displays to 50,2 %, and Matsushita and Canon will receive on 24,9 % in the enterprise.
The agreement between three companies also means that Matsushita will construct a new factory on manufacture of displays.
Thus, there will be three large alliances in the world market of liquid crystal displays. Joint venture Matsushita, Hitachi and Canon will compete in this area to associations of companies Sony-Samsung and Sharp-Toshiba.
Company Hitachi specializes on manufacture of electronics. The greatest percent of a sales volume of the company, which on results of the last year has exceeded 85 billion dollars, has been provided by realization of the equipment for power and industrial systems, information and telecommunication systems.
Besides Hitachi produces microelectronic and electronic components, multifunctional materials and components, home appliances. The company offers logistical, service, financial and other services, and also delivers digital technologies.
Matsushita produces electronics under the trade mark Panasonic. In 1 quarter 2007-2008 its net profit has grown on 9,7 % - up to 39,3 billion yens (347 million dollars) in comparison with 35,8 billion yens (316 million dollars) for the same period of the last year. Thus the proceeds have increased on 4,8 % and have made 2,24 billion yens (19,78 billion dollars) against 2,14 billion yens (18,9 billion dollars) year earlier. In 2009-2010 the company plans to increase an annual sales volume up to 10 billion yens (88 billion dollars).
Corporation Canon Inc., which head office is located in Tokyo, -is one of world leaders in the field of creation of the digital equipment for office and the house. Worldwide group Canon unites 198 companies, which cumulative commodity circulation exceeds 29 billion dollars a year. printers and computer periphery (34,1 %) and photocopiers (33,2 %) represent the greatest part of Canon’s sales.
