GECAS will buy 55 Boeings for the sum of $4,5 billion

The largest avialeasing company in the world, division of company General Electric Co., GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) has made an order for purchase of 55 air liners at American concern Boeing Co.
GECAS is going to buy 53 planes Boeing 737-800 and 2 planes Boeing 777-300. The general catalogue cost of air liners makes 4,5 billion dollars. Such information has been represented in Boeing’s press release.
GECAS renders financial services and services in the field of leasing planes. Now 1 thousand 400 liners, which are belonging to this company, is being transferred in leasing to more than 225 airlines from 60 countries. Besides, GECAS renders services of management by an aircraft depot into which structure about 300 planes enter.
Within the last 9 months of 207 Boeing’s net profit has grown in 2,5 times - up to 3,01 billion dollars against 1,22 billion dollars for the similar period of the last year. The proceeds for the specified period have increased on 11 %, having made 48,9 billion dollars.
On results of III quarter net profit of the aviagiant has increased on 60 % and has made 1,114 billion dollars against 697 million dollars for the same period of 2006. Boeing’s proceeds have increased on 12 % - up to 16,5 billion dollars, whereas year earlier the same parameter made 14,7 billion dollars
The division of commercial aircraft has received 904 orders for planes, including 354 orders within the first 9 months of 2007.
