Alitalia tends to offer on purchase of Air France-KLM
Alitalia’s management considers the plan French Air France-KLM on re-structuring of unprofitable Italian airline “clearer”, than variant with Air One, owing to greater affinity to sights of Alitalia’s management.
As Alitalia’s President has mentioned it is obvious from Air France-KLM offer that their plan is close to Alitalia’s own plan, but they still should understand, how it will work in case of Air One’s project.
Last Saturday the Italian newspapers dazzle with messages that the government of Italy, which is owning 49,9 % of Alitalia’s shares, wants to sale their air carrier to Air France.
Two days earlier Alitalia has informed that next week it will consider three applications on purchase of the company. French Air France-KLM, Italian Air One and “dark horse” in the state block of Alitalia’s shares.
Earlier the management of air carrier informed, that in first half of December it will choose form of a consortium of investors led by lawyer Antonio Baldassare are applying for purchase the applicant for final negotiations. The prime minister of Italy has declared that Italian government is expecting to sell the company’s state shares till Catholic Christmas (on December, 25th).
