Danone will take the credit for the sum of 4 billion euro
8 December 2007World’s largest yoghurts’ manufacturer - French Danone SA is measured to take the credit in the sum of 4 billion euro for financing purchase of the Netherlands of children’s feed manufacture Royal Numico NV.
Danone has signed the agreement on opening the credit line of for 3 years in 2,3 billion euro and the demand line of credit for 5 years in 1,7 billion euro with group of banks. The information about the banks, which will grant a loan, is not disclosed.
Danone offers on 55 euros cash for each Numico’s share, so, the sum of the transaction can make 12,3 billion euro. In July 2007 Danone has already got a share in 26,37 % of Numico’s shares.
Groupe Danone SA - is the world’s largest yoghurts’ manufacturer. Soft drinks’ manufacture is the other basic direction of the company. Within the last 9 months of current financial year sales volume of the company has grown on 4,4 % - up to 11,24 billion euro in comparison with 10,77 billion euros, received for the similar period year earlier.
Royal Numico is the largest European children’s feed manufacturer. Market capitalization of the company makes 8,5 billion euro.
