The governmental armies with application of tear gas and water have dispersed a manifestation of protest in capital of Venezuela.
Thousand people, holding a meeting to make the protest against entering into the constitution of the country of changes, in result of which president Hugo Chavez could be at authority up to 2027г, informs Associated Press. Some participants of meeting have were strongly wounded.
Students of University of Caracas became Initiators of protest. The participants claimed that Chavez wanted only power and no democracy.
Introduction of the governmental control over the central bank of the country and the sanction to power departments to detain citizens without the sanction of court in conditions of state of emergency are among other reasons of other amendments to the constitution of Venezuela amendments to the constitution of Venezuela.
In September, 2007, the leader of Venezuela has declared, that he is ready to stay the president of the country till 2027, if Venezuelan people will approve his offer on reforming the law on repeated participation in elections of the head of the state and terms of the mandate. These constitutional reforms, offered by Hugo Chavez, have been already preliminary approved by National Assembly.
