Mitsui’s net profit has grown up to $2, 19 billion

In the first half-year 2007-2008, which has come to the end on September, 30th, 2007, Net profit of the Japanese group of companies Mitsui and Co. Ltd. has grown on 63,1 %.
As it is informed in the financial report of the company, the net profit of group has increased up to 251,92 billion yens (2,19 billion dollars) in comparison with 154,46 billion yens (1,34 billion dollars), received for the similar period year earlier. During the accounting period sales volume of Mitsui and Co. has increased on 8 % and has made 8,21 billion yens (71,21 billion dollars) against 7,60 billion yens (65,92 billion dollars) in April-September 2006.
The operational profit of the company has made 180,23 billion yens (1,56 billion dollars) and has exceeded a similar parameter of 2006, the 123,57 billion yens, fixed at a level (1,07 billion dollars), on 45,9 %.
Mitsui and Co. Ltd. is the group of companies, operating in chemical sphere, steel industry and food stuffs manufacture. Mitsui is the largest company from among traded on the Japanese share market. Shares of the company bargain at five stock exchanges of Japan (in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Fukuoka and Sapporo) and also at American stock exchange NASDAQ in the form of ADR. More than 40 thousand employees are working at the enterprises of group of the companies.
