Japanese auto concerns suffer defeat in the national market
12 October 2007Cars of the Japanese manufacture have for many years enjoyed huge worldwide popularity - from the USA and up to the Europe. However, these corporations suffer shattering defeat in the national market.
The volume of national sales of auto concerns is reducing for already third year successively, and nothing left from boom 1990, when the quantity of the cars, sold inside of the country has made 7,78 million cars. In this connection president of Honda Motor has complained that the present state of a national car market causes serious fears.
Here it is necessary to note, that all automobile companies, including concern Toyota (which is, by the way, the largest and the most profitable cars manufacturer in the world), have not avoided losses. So, this week the president of the company has already informed on reduction of a national sales volume on 4 % in comparison with the initial purpose of realization 1,72 million cars a year.
Manufacturers name huge quantity of the reasons, which led to such recession, - beginning from a decreasing population of Japan and finishing with the absence of interest of young men to cars. As it has been noted, they have structural factors which create in the national market many difficulties for cars manufacturers.
But nevertheless, in experts’ opinion, the principal cause of the developed situation relies in discrepancy of cars to Japanese’ needs.
