Iran: France will not do without our power resources
7 October 2007France cannot do without the Iranian power resources. Such application has been made by the minister of a petroleum industry of Islamic republic.
Making comments on a recent appeal of Paris to the French oil-and-gas companies to refrain from investments into Iran, minister has declared, that oil and gas from their country remain too attractive to the French businessmen.
It is necessary to note, that after a victory over presidential elections the government the President of France has really leaded extremely hard line concerning Teheran. So, on October, 2nd Minister for Foreign Affairs of France has once again called the western countries for introduction of new sanctions against Iran. In minister’s opinion, they have some time while dialogue between Iran and the European countries proceeds. So it is a high time to work over the project of new sanctions. It is worth of mentioning that the USA, Russia, China, France, Germany, the Great Britain have agreed to postpone consideration of a question on new sanctions against Iran at least till November, 2007, and to wait for IAEA’s and the EU’s reports, which should carry on negotiations with the nuclear program representative of Iran.
