Procter&Gamble can sell brands Pringles and Duracell

The American manufacturer of household chemical goods and the goods of hygiene Procter and Gamble Co. (P&G) considers an opportunity of sale of some brands. Such information has been represented today in the British mass-media.
According to anonymous sources, the company has involved investing fund Blackstone Group LP for possible sale of the brands showing low financial parameters, such as coffee Folgers, chips Pringles and battery Duracell.
P&G’s press-secretary has refused to make comments on this information.
On results of the 2006-2007 which has come to the end on June, 30th, 2007, net profit of the company has grown on 19 % - up to 10,34 billion dollars (3,04 doll./share) in comparison almost 8,68 billion dollars (2,64 doll./share), received for the similar period of last year. The sales volume has increased on 12 % and has made 76,48 billion dollars against 68,22 billion dollars in April-June 2006. The operational profit has reached 15,45 billion dollars, having exceeded a similar parameter of 2006 on 17 %, which fixed on a mark of 13,25 billion dollars.
Company Procter&Gamble has been funded in the USA in 1837. In 2003 P&G has got a control share holding of company Wella AG, the world leader in the market of hair care cosmetic means. In 2005 the merge of two companies – Procter&Gamble and Gillette has occurred. On results of 2006, company’s portfolio includes more than 300 brands, 22 of which have more than 1 billion dollars trade turnover each one (Pampers, Tide, Ariel, Always, Pantene Pro-V, Gillette Mach 3, Oral-B, Olay, Wella, etc.).
