Experts: Demand from China ruins European secondary metals markets

European market of secondary metals is far from the balance. The reason is that because of huge needs of China some aluminium combines already are under threat of closing. The experts say that the situation in the Europe becomes critical. The main problem is that the aluminium secondary raw material is catastrophically required.
Almost half of all aluminium in the Europe is made from the advanced raw material, and now this tendency grows. So, in 2006 nearby 5,2 million tones of this metal has been produced from the advanced materials.
Thus 5,1 million tones more has been made from primary materials and nearby 2,9 million tones - from the imported. However, because of procrastination of raw material to China, the growing prices for energy carriers and high cost of a labor a number of combines processing aluminium have appeared under threat of closing.
British metal-rolling factory in Wales Dolgarrog Aluminium became the last victim of this crisis. Dolgarrog Aluminium’s experts mark that they test sharp shortage of secondary metals, but they do their best in the given situation.
Anglesey Aluminium is one more factory, which is being under the threat of closing now. This metallurgical combine uses electrolytic process in the manufacture, which requires huge electric power expenses.
But not only Europe suffers from a huge consumer demand in China. Northern America, where the situation is aggravated with a falling dollar exchange rate, is in even more distress. The euro becomes stronger, and, consequently, it is much more favorable to China to buy secondary aluminium in Northern America.
