Imperial Energy is stripped of 5 licenses
British company Imperial Energy is stripped five licenses for carrying out of search works in Tomsk Area. Such statement has been made by the press-service of the Russia’s Natural Resources Ministry
So, three exploration licences have been withdrawn from units of London-listed Imperial Energy. One license has been withdrawn from AlyansNefteGaz, and other two licenses -from Sibinterneft with their initial validity till March, 4th, 2008.
it has been also informed, that essential backlog from plans on seismic prospecting and drilling has been fixed in two areas, operated by Nord Imperial LLC.
Russia’s Natural Resources Ministry press-service agents have noted that corresponding information has been given to the US and British companies, which are realizing investing projects in the exploration sphere. Besides, on Friday, Russian environmental regulator Oleg Mitvol has informed on Imperial Energy infringements in Russia to the Power and Mineral Resources Ministry of Kazakhstan, where the company owns one more exploration unit.
Meanwhile Imperial Energy denies any information concerning licenses.
In the press release of the British company it said that the application of Russia’s Natural Resources Ministry, dispatched in mass-media, misleads and contains significant actual discrepancies.
According to auditor company DeGolyer and MacNaughton, on December, 31st, 2006, proved and probable stocks of the company made 802,6 million barr. of oil. Imperial Energy plans to extract 10 thousand barr./day till the end of 2007, 25 thousand barr./day - till the end of 2008, and 35 thousand barr./day - till the end of 2009.
