Zimbabwe is close to full economic crash
18 September 2007Zimbabwe is close to full economic crash. As an International crisis group (MKG), located in Bruxelles, has informed in the report, nearby 10 million people from the 12-million population of Zimbabwe live below the breadline, and nearby 3 million people have already immigrated into the neighboring countries.
According to MKG experts militaristic campaign on bridling inflation has led to sharp deficiency of the foodstuffs and fuel in the country and has made almost impossible development of business.
Having stressed, that Zimbabwe is close to a full economic collapse, MKG has called the African organization “Community of South Africa Development” to interfere with business of Zimbabwe and to convince the present president of the country of necessity cooperation as soon as possible.
In the end of July, 2007, IMF has warned that by in end of 2007 Inflation in Zimbabwe can reach 100 thousand percent. IMF experts have declared that if observed monthly trends will proceed, the IMF predicts growth of annual inflation up to 100 thousand percent by the end of this year. In March, 2007, inflation in Zimbabwe has established a new world record, having reached 2200 % in annual calculation. Thus, the previous record in 1730 %, fixed in Zimbabwe in February, 2007, has been broken.
Rates of inflation in Zimbabwe are the highest in the world.
