Condoleeza Rice: China should be fairer
7 July 2007China should conduct more fair games in trade and currency regulation. Such opinion has been stated by the US State Secretary Condoleeza Rice.
She has also told that in general, the growing strong Chinese economy will benefit the international system; but it should be the growing and strong economy which plays by rules. Now, in opinion of the diplomat, China does not do it.
Condoleeza Rice has called China to expand access of the foreign companies on the market, to carry out currency reform and to give more attention to protection of copyrights.
It is necessary to note, that the United States repeatedly accused China of artificial maintenance of a rate of yuan for strengthening of their own economy and warned, that such actions can lead to crisis.
As to the decision of a question on copyrights protection, we shall remind, that it was one of the main terms, at China’s accession to the WTO. However, the USA considers that official Peking yet does not put all efforts for struggle against manufacturers of piracy production.
