Iran enters restriction on sale of gasoline
27 June 2007Iran enters restriction on sales of gasoline. From now the owners of private cars, which are not capable to work on gas, can get no more than 100 liters of gasoline a month. This measure is accepted with purpose to reduce internal consumption of gasoline in Iran and import of fuel to the country.
Iran is the second-largest oil manufacturer in OPEC. Till 2015 the country plans to increase volumes of an oil recovery from 4,3 million barr./day up to 5,3 million barr./day.
Meanwhile, earlier the representative of Iranian state oil company National Iranian has declared, that for increasing oil manufacture even on 1 million barr./day, it is necessary to enclose not less than 100 billion dollars of foreign investments in oil deposits of Iran as their own investments will cover only a quarter of total financial needs.
Other Iranian officials approve, that the oil branch of the country does not require monetary injections from abroad and Iran has financial resources for increase in extraction. Now NIOC does not test shortage of means.
It is worth of mentioning that potential investors speak, that they are ready for cooperation with Islamic republic if they will accept commercial conditions and if a political tension around of the country will decrease.
