ILFC will get at Boeing 63 planes for $8,8 billion
19 June 2007International Lease Finance Corp. (IFLC) has ordered 63 Boeing planes under the catalogue in the total cost of 8,8 billion dollars Alongside with other air courts in the order 50 planes Boeing 787 Dreamliner are included, that makes IFLC the largest customer of the given type of planes.
Boeing 787 Dreamliner - is the mid-continental jet liner at creation of which carbon fiber-reinforced plastic was actively used, allowing to reduce weight of the plane and to lower operational expenses. The first test flight of the plane, being the basic competitor of Airbus A350 XWB, is planned in the end of August 2007, and the first deliveries are expected in May 2008. The beginning of operation Airbus A350 XWB is planned on 2013.
on results I of quarter 2007, net profit of American company Boeing Co., the second-largest manufacturer of commercial passenger planes, has grown on 26,7 % - up to 877 million dollars in comparison with 692 million dollars, received for the similar period a year earlier. For accounting quarter Boeing’s proceeds have increased on 7,8 % and have made 15,37 billion dollars against 14,26 billion dollars in January-March 2006.
