Poland threatens European Union’s safety

At the meeting of European chapters Polish Foreign Minister Anna Fotyga has declared that Poland cannot accept an electoral system, offered in the project of the general European constitution. Polish Foreign Minister has also added that the system of the double majority in that kind, in which it has been offered in the draft agreement, is unacceptable for Poland.
As she said, Warsaw is basically ready to go on the compromise; however the offer, brought by the Polish party, on revision of system of the all-European elections before voting under the constitution, is already those.
Thus, at the forthcoming summit of leaders of the EU countries  on acceptance of the new all-European agreement, which should become analogue of the uniform European constitution, Poland can take advantage the right veto as its leaders president and prime-minister have promised.
At a meeting of the EU countries’ Foreign Affairs Ministers, which took place in Luxembourg, problems of acceptance of the all-European agreement were discussed. Discussion of the new project takes place at the summit of EU heads, which is to be held in Bruxelles on June, 21-22nd, 2007.
In the end of March, 2007, on celebrations in Berlin, devoted to the 50 anniversary of signing of the Roman agreement, which has started creation of EU, leaders of the countries - participants have accepted the declaration, calling to renew reforms and ” to update the general basis on which EU ” under construction. , in opinion of its authors, the document should stimulate processes of the EU countries’ integration and help to face the crisis, which has burst after two years ago inhabitants of France and the Netherlands have rejected  the project of the all-European constitution.
