The Oldest Venezuelan telechannel RCTV (Radio Caracas Television), closed by the President Hugo Chavez for “subversive activities”, has found an opportunity to broadcast through YouTube.
The news department of a telechannel continues work in the reduced structure. On YouTube it is daily possible to download three hour news releases “El Observador”, placed by the Internet-service of a telechannel.
Besides RCTV’s branch in Colombia - Caracol telechannel - has agreed to broadcast evening release “El Observador” through the satellite. The program, which was broadcasted at 00:00 on local time, could be watched by almost 800 thousand Venezuelans.
It is worth of mentioning that RCTV transferred basically “soap operas” and entertaining shows, however, Hugo Chavez’ irritation has been, first of all, caused by news blocks, which as CNN marks, and had an obvious antigovernment orientation.
Besides during attempt of revolution of 2002 undertaken for displacement of the President, RCTV has supported conspirators. After that Chavez has repeatedly declared about his intention to suspend RCTV’s broadcasting.
After RCTV has not left in ether, protest actions which basic participants were students have started in Caracas and some other cities of the country. In capital demonstration has ended with collisions with police - demonstrators stoned employees of the law and order, and those, in turn, have in turn, have used tear gas and rubber bullets.
