TUI has ordered Boeing for 4,7 billion dollars
16 May 2007The second-largest manufacturer of commercial passenger planes in world Boeing Co. has received the order for 11 planes 787-8 Dreamliner and 50 planes Boeing 737 following generations from the largest in the Europe tour operator TUI AG. Boeing representatives have informed on it today.
The catalogue price of the ordered planes makes nearby 4,7 billion dollars. no other additional information is informed.
Last large Boeing order has been made in the end of April: American airline Virgin Atlantic has signed the agreement on purchase of 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliner planes for the sum of 2,8 billion dollars. the agreement provides Virgin Atlantic airline with an option for purchase of eight planes Boeing 787-9 and the rights to purchase of 20 more liners of model Boeing 787.
It is worth of mentioning that in the 1st quarter of 2007 the net profit of Boeing on results has grown on 26,7 % - up to 877 million dollars in comparison with 692 million dollars, received for the similar period of 2006. The proceeds for accounting quarter have increased on 7,8 % and have made 15,37 billion dollars against 14,26 billion dollars in January-March 2006. Analysts expected that the proceeds of the company on results of accounting quarter would reach 16 billion dollars.
