Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan have agreed about construction of a gas main

Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan have signed the Declaration on development of gas-transport capacities in the Central Asia. Till September, 1st, 2007, it is planned to prepare the cooperation agreement on construction of the Near-Caspian gas main.
Realization of the project will be started in the second decade. It is supposed, that the pipeline will pass along of the Caspian Sea coastline and its throughput will make 30 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
After the meeting the president of Russia V.Putin has informed, that Russia will invest not only in construction of pipeline systems, but also in extraction of gas in Turkmenistan. As he said, in the nearest future, experts will prepare corresponding offers.
Making comments on signing of the Declaration on development of gas-transport capacities in the Central Asia, V.Putin has told that Russian experts have agreed about reconstruction of the near-Caspian pipeline in order to finish its capacity up to 10,5 billion cube. m. and also about the construction of new pipeline system, which will pass in parallel with the near-Caspian pipeline.
He has also informed, that the arrangement on expansion of the pipeline through the territory of Uzbekistan is reached and that the corresponding document has been already signed by the president of Uzbekistan.
It is worth of mentioning that, opening a today’s meeting of three countries leaders, the president of Russia has declared, that arrangements of Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan mean the increase in deliveries of power resources in the European market and in the world.
The president of Kazakhstan has assured that the expansion of the central-Asian gas mains is the pragmatic and business-commercial project without political interest.
