Allianz’s net profit has grown up to 3,2 billion euro
2 May 2007Net profit of Allianz SE- the largest insurance company in the Europe- has grown on 78 % - up to 3,2 billion euro for I quarter 2007. Such data is represented in the financial report of the company.
During this accounting period the proceeds of the company have made 29,3 billion euro, that is on 1,2 % less in comparison with the corresponding parameter of the last year, that made 29,64 billion euro. For first three months of current year the operational profit has made 2,9 billion euro, that is on 8 % above the corresponding parameter (2,68 billion euro) in 2006.
The company explains the decrease in operational profit payments by the damage from the hurricane “Cyril”, which has carried by above the Central and Western Europe in January, 2007.
It is necessary to mention that in February, 2007, Allianz has signed the contract of sale and purchase with Russian AFK Sistema, becoming the basic shareholder (97 %) of “Rosno” group. Up to this agreement the German company owned 47,7 % of Russian company’s shares.
The group of Allianz companies is one of the largest insurers and suppliers of financial services in the world. Based, in today, 1890 it is represented in more than 70 countries of the world.
