Toyota became the world auto leader

The Japanese manufacturer of cars Toyota Motor Corp. became the world leader on a sales volume of cars for the first quarter of 2007. Such information has been given today by the official press-secretary of the company.
During the first three months of 2007 Toyota has sold 2,348 million cars all over the world, having overtaken, thus, the former leader - American General Motors (GM) which sales volume during the specified period has made 2,26 million cars.
As Associated Press marks, it is the first case in history, when Toyota could overtake the American motorcar giant on a sales volume.
Net profit of Japanese concern Toyota Motor Corp., being the second in the world on size the manufacturer of cars, in III quarter 2006-2007, which has terminated on December, 31st 2006, has grown on 7,3 % and has reached 3,53 billion dollars in comparison with 3,29 billion dollars, received for the similar period in 2006. The company marks appreciable increase in demand at production both in the Japanese market and in other countries.
