Russia and Iran have signed protocol on financing the atomic power station in Bushehr
22 April 2007Russia and Iran have signed the report defining the plan of measures on maintenance of stable financing of the finishing stage of a construction of atomic power station in Bushehr.
As it has become known in case of realization of this plan the part of problems of financing will be solved and all steps on maintenance of this financing should be executed. The next stage of negotiations on a construction of the atomic power station is to be lead in the beginning of May in Teheran.
According to Iran’s and Russia’s mass-media representatives, more additional financial resources are required for the acceleration of construction and for the acceleration of work above the project. As it has been informed, the Iranian party has paid a part of the debts in March, but it is not enough of it for acceleration of end of the project. Nothing has been informed on deadlines of construction.
Earlier Rosatom has declared that from the end, 2006, the Iranian party has suspended financing of the project. The first payment (about 15 million dollars) has acted on the account of Russian building companies only in March 2007. While, according to the approved arrangements, nearby 25 million dollars are required monthly for the construction of the atomic power station according to the proved schedule.
